We are seeking a vibrant Textile Sales Lead to elevate our client buying experience. In this role, you'll combine your technical fabric knowledge to drive sales while leading a sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, direct, and motivate the sales team daily. Serve as the go-to reference for technical textile questions, delegate daily tasks, and foster a high-performance customer service environment.
- Client Consultation: Guide clients, designers, and makers through our fabric selections with tailored advice on weight, drape, care, and project suitabilities.
- Client Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with clients, process orders, and design professionals seeking specialized fabric solutions.
- Drive Sales Proceedings: Proactively engage visitors, lead by example, build multi-item orders, and drive the team to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Fabric & Stock Management: Keep display bolts organized, assist with inventory counts, and ensure top-tier visual merchandising.
Qualifications & Skills
- Textile Knowledge (ESSENTIAL): You must know your fibres, weaves, knits, and fabric applications. Eg. You can instantly distinguish flax from rayon, understand grainlines, and explain proper fabric care.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated ability (or strong interest) to direct a team, give constructive direction, and maintain high productivity.
- Background: A degree/diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Garment Technology, OR equivalent proven hands-on experience in using textiles.
- Sales Drive: Energetic, goal-oriented, and comfortable actively engaging clients.
- Communication: Warm, Vibrant, confident, and persuasive interpersonal skills.
